Larimer County Fair Junior Rodeo...

The Larimer County Sheriff's Posse will be hosting this year's Larimer County Fair Junior Rodeo July 30th and 31st.  The two day event will be held at the new Larimer County Fairgrounds in the Ranchway Feeds Indoor Arena.  Events will begin on July 30th at 1:00 pm and will last until approximately 8:30 pm.  On July 31st, activities will start at 9:00 am and will last until approximately 5:00 pm.  All participants must turn in their entries prior to the day of events.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Posse is a non-profit organization that serves as the Mounted-Patrol for the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.  The Sheriff's Posse has been hosting this event for several years.  The Larimer County Fair Junior Rodeo allows the youth of Larimer County to participate in a number of rodeo events including Mutton Busting, Goat Tying, Break-away Roping, Barrel Racing, Junior Bull Riding, and several other traditional events.

The participants of the rodeo are classified into two age groups, 14 years - 18 years (Saturday) and 7 years - 13 years (Sunday).  The event is made possible through the financing provided by the Larimer County Sheriff's Posse, the Larimer County Fair Board, and the sponsorship of local businesses. All participants must turn in their applications on either July 18 or 19 at the Larimer County Fairgrounds between 5:00pm and 7:00pm.
