Fog fills valleys in Roosevelt National Forest.

Thursday, September 22nd - Fall Arrives...

With fog and cool mist, Fall arrived in the area this afternoon at 4:23PM MDT. As well as being a fitting entrance for Fall, the cool temperatures and moist air have lessened the fire danger across our immediate area slightly. The arrival of Fall is marked by the Autumnal Equinox, which is the mid point in the Sun's apparent travel southward. The southernmost point is known as the Winter Solstice, or our first day of Winter.
