Friday, October 28th - Oil Companies Capitalize Big On Hurricanes...

The recent devastation left behind by Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma has not damaged oil company profits one tiny bit. In fact, oil companies are now reporting record profits surmounting to the largest corporate profit ever made in a single quarter.

Yes, that's right. While the rest of the nation sacrificed and was told to conserve, the oil companies inflated prices and danced to the bank with our hard earned dollars. And still are! Have you noticed how quickly prices jumped before the hurricane even did any damage? And how slowly it is falling after the damage was far less than predicted? It is a manipulation of the prices by the oil companies of course.

In our opinion this amounts to nothing less than government sanctioned corporate thievery. It is indeed sad that our so-called leaders sit idly by and let this type of abuse to the people occur. But with an oil based administration in power, it is entirely understandable. Remember, they will soon be out of office and will need a good income source. So why not pad you family's and friends' interests in oil.  Ah yes, the good old USA. Where corporate greed rules absolute!

We would ask that everyone remember the Senators and Representatives who did nothing while we were being taken by the oil companies. And express you anger and financial distress buy removing these lazy ticks from office in November of 2006.  To bad the elections weren't this November while the effect of there inaction is fresh in our memories and pocketbooks.  As another year of government inaction and corporate abuse will inevitably send this country even further into economic depression, with the average American family bearing the brunt of the pressure.  But don't worry about the oil companies, as they will still be raking in huge profits. Don't forget!
