Tuesday, December 6th - Arctic Blast Moves Into Area...

A large Arctic system is in process of moving into our area bringing with it the coldest weather yet this season. Temperatures are expected to steadily drop throughout the day with lows tonight dropping below zero in many places.

As well as cold the system is also expected to drop 2 - 4 inches of snow across the area during the day and early evening. The cold is expected to stay with us for the next few days with highs tomorrow struggling to make it out of single digits. A return to our normal 40's is expected by the weekend.

Residents are advised to dress children appropriately and to pay special attention to pets and animals outside. Smaller pets should not be left out for more than 10 minutes, as frostbite to their respiratory tract and extremities can occur rapidly in these extreme temperatures.
