The following photos were taken
between 10:00 - 10:30AM on September 12th, 2006. The photos clearly show the
application and subsequent runoff onto private property. According to the 2006
Operating Plan for Cedar Park Road
Maintenance Corporation and Cedar Springs Improvement Association, this section
of roadway was not to be treated.
However it was heavily treated anyway, with no precautions whatsoever taken to
prevent runoff as recommended by both
the manufacturer and National Forest Service. These chemicals were tested and
confirmed to contain high amounts of
arsenic, barium and chromium. Run-off from the road is also confirmed to have
killed several mature tress and
hundreds of fish in the Big Thompson River. Worst part of the story, nobody
cares!
