 "The Rabbit" rock formation east
of Glen Haven.

Photo Of The Week...

This Week's photo features an interesting rock formation, known by some local area residents as "The Rabbit".

Found on the south side of CR 43, by the large pull-outs approximately ½ mile east of Glen Haven, "The Rabbit" is one of many interesting rock formations in our area, shaped by millions of years of weathering. Softer rock is eventually worn away by the elements leaving behind the beautiful formations we enjoy today.

Some of the larger, more well known formations in our area include Chief's Head in Rocky Mountain National Park, Indian Head near McGraw Ranch and the famous Twin Owls near McGregor Ranch, on CR 43 (Devil's Gulch Road) just outside of Estes Park.
